JAZEX began with a conversation on a job site between a professional waterproofer and a professional tiler who had worked side by side for over 20 years, discussing an age-old dilemma in the waterproofing industry.

Do you waterproof only above the screed, knowing that replacing a damaged tile could compromise your waterproofing? Or do you waterproof underneath the screed as well, knowing that if the upper membrane fails, water could become trapped within the screed?

It was a problem we had both encountered throughout our careers, and one that deserved a better solution.

Drawing on our combined 50 years of hands-on construction experience, we joined forces to challenge conventional methods and develop a smarter approach.

That conversation became the foundation of JAZEX and led to the development of our innovative Under Over™ puddle flange system, designed to accommodate two independent waterproofing membranes while allowing moisture within the screed to drain away.

JAZEX combines practical trade experience with advanced manufacturing technology. Our products are developed using the latest CNC-machined injection moulds and precision robotic welding processes, helping us achieve the high-end professional finish, consistency and durability expected from a premium product in today's marketplace.

JAZEX products are designed in Australia for Australian and New Zealand conditions, with a focus on the requirements of the National Construction Code (NCC) and relevant Australian and New Zealand Standards, including AS 3740, Waterproofing of domestic wet areas. Our products are developed to support accepted construction and waterproofing practices, while addressing the practical requirements of local building and waterproofing industries.

What started as a simple conversation between two tradespeople has grown into a commitment to developing practical, innovative products that solve real problems for the building and waterproofing industries, while delivering the quality and finish professionals can rely on.
